He saw to it that Walt’s greatest dream was fulfilled

Disney Institute Keynote Speaker — The vision has come to life.

Well, we all know what Roy did.

He came out of retirement, at 71, and saw to it that Walt’s great dream came true.

Meanwhile in my hometown…

Disney technology on trucks — Meanwhile in my hometown…

Meanwhile, life goes on in my hometown.

Bob Iger, our CEO, said, “Every Disney leader should have a love affair with technology.”

PS. We all know people (usually “older” people) who distrust and dislike technology. Can you imagine if they were leaders at Disney?

Disney’s secret for success is really this simple

Disney Culture Speaker — Disney’s secret isn’t a secret, it’s common sense business wisdom.

Disney’s secret for success is really this simple. We over-focus on the same things others under-focus on or ignore. We are intentional where others are unintentional.

When you come to the fork in the road

curvy river — One of the curviest rivers i’ve ever seen, somewhere in the midwest.

When you come to the fork in the road, take it.

Life is going to take you places you don’t want to go.

Get used to it.

Learn to embrace the opportunities that will come your way.

Because if you don’t, you may miss them.

Some of them will never cross your path again.

Now you know.

i am Disney

i know the artist of this San Antonio artwork. It is me. Drawn with a magic marker on flip chart paper. A college Dean has this displayed in her office.

All of these ideas hit me at 4:30am this morning, in this order:

i am Disney.
All trophies (take a photo)
All name tags. (take a photo)
Sunday nights. (only TV show Lori and i didn’t fight over watching)
Lori’s obsession. (her home is a Disney museum)

In 1981 as i walked through West Chester University’s Student Union building, a wall flyer caught my eye – Disney was inviting interested students to attend a college internship info session at 10pm.

That’s how this whole thing got started.
