Day 5 St Mary, Triple Divide, home

Mountains
Would love to see a reasonably consumable time-lapse video of Earth’s 3.5 billion year history from this vantage point.

Glacier, more that anyplace i’ve visited, humbles my beliefs and inspires my childlike creativity to wonder about humanity’s origin and journey.

iPhone calendar screen shot
Starting at midnight, it took nearly three hours to secure one month’s accommodations for next Summer.

As much experience as i have and rely on, it’s becoming more challenging to confidently organize, and secure, next year’s accommodations.

The past two Summers hinted that there’s a change. What worked and what i counted on working no longer works.

Adapting to change is in my wheelhouse though.

i am grateful for everything, including adversity.

Day 3 St Mary, Triple Divide, home

honeymoon couple in the mountains
Gazing like i mean it.
5-second video: It’s a tradition.

Sitting in the car for two hours.

Unintentional.

Cold, wind, and especially the low clouds delayed our start.

We can manage the cold and wind.

Hiking in low, thick clouds is like having a laptop but no wifi. What’s the point?

The point is to see it all.

And as my local friend and Chalet Proprietor Kevin instructed me, “Gaze twice as long” when i return.

We have returned.

i am committed to gazing.

Day 2 St Mary, Triple Divide, home

woman cross country bicyclist
Doing some epic ‘dream-type’ things before settling down was a top priority. Why? The odds of doing it later in life is literally zero. This 2.5 week bicycle trip across Washington State was our Honeymoon, one year ‘late’. And weeks before we launched a three-plus decade Walt Disney World career.

What (prioritized) priorities do Olympians possess?

And why do they possess them?

What, if anything, does this mean to the rest of us?

Day 1 St Mary, Triple Divide, home

two adults walking on a beach
We’ve visited Glacier annually since 2013 because we expanded our Summer Sanibel Island vacation tradition. Sanibel’s annual visits began before our son’s first birthday.

Repetition is the mother of all habitual results.

Clarity is strength.

Strength is an asset.

Assets trump liabilities.

Back to clarity…

How high is your home-organization bar?

Be crystal clear your highest home standards.

Do the reps to reach, sustain, and improve your highest home-organization standards.

Insight: Repetition is generally a mundane, boring process. This is a human’s greatest opportunity…learning how to exploit and enjoy repetition.
