The antithesis of productivity

Getting away from your normal routine is a brilliant way to .think .differently

The antithesis of productivity is pausing to think.

Self-reflection in a busy world (and the world is and has always been busy) is challenging, if not impossible.

Are you brave enough?

The sky’s the limit?

Are you brave enough to invent things we’ve never seen before – to influence things in a way that doesn’t currently exist?

Why?

Why yes or why no?

Taking risks is risky, so is playing it safe.

You can quote me on that.

Some additional notes on invention…

What if planning your life included a deadline for accomplishing everything in life that was important to you?

What if planning for life involved written, prioritized goals, values, and behaviors?

What if your deadline included a date that gave you years, not days, weeks, or months?

To the impossible

Disney Keynote Speaker
Ty spent an hour in the office and took 100 photos, hoping to get three that would be headshot-worthy.

To the impossible.

You inspire me.

Dear impossible, thank you for your gift.

Hope to see you again tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow, April Fools Day, marks the 10th anniversary of that impossible goal with a self-imposed 100-day writer’s boot camp to write five daily, differently-themed blog posts – simply to gain writing practice for writing my first book.

Metamorphosis from consumer to producer?

Kindle library
Love reading, yet struggle to read books. This stage in life has more producing than consuming.

Metamorphosis from consumer to producer.?

There came a time in my life when i realized i was only consuming.

Never thinking original thoughts.

Never feeling confident about what i knew; was it mine or someone else’s?

Then what?

i began writing prolifically in 2009. When i began, it never was to last more than three months. Now it’s been a decade.

And writing has challenged and inspired me to not only think original thoughts, but to publish them too.

Still consuming, but the producing does the heavy lifting.
