Doing the wrong things right.

How does one know if this is true?

How does one balance the truth against a lifetime routine?

Is this a classic “activity equals productivity” dilemma?

Is this the Pareto principle in action?

Does doing the wrong things right insulate us from our fears and doubts?

Who would we have to become to embrace the notion of transformational change?

And could we ever convince ourselves to follow a different path?

Notes to myself
Notes to myself yesterday while biking.

Here’s another version from yesterday exploring our universal human blindspot – if we lived our life with the same commitment and conviction as we expect others to have, our lives would be amazing.

A busy schedule is your best weapon

Disney Keynote Speakers
Yesterday at work.

A busy schedule is your best weapon against doing work that matters.

i’ll get to the important stuff in my life once i get caught up, once i find some breathing room in my schedule, once this project is finished, once the kids move out, once i retire…blah, blah, blah.

Why do we stall, wait, and do nothing?

Grinnell Glacier lake
Grinnell Glacier Lake, August 30, 2017.

We can easily envision a new, healthier habit in our life.

Right?

We can literally taste the benefits of better habits.

No?

Yet we stall.

We wait.

Often doing nothing but dreaming.

Why?

Best home year ever mindset in 2018?

Best home year ever mindset in 2018?

Had a work project yesterday (a Saturday) that required overflowing creativity.

It rarely happens, but i wasn’t feeling abundantly creative, yet i had enough creativity to muster up an alternative.

Did an all-afternoon project clearing older electronics from various storage space in my office.

Cathartic.

And somewhat painful to let go of what used to be amazing technology.
