Ps. That last sentence made me laugh when i immediately thought of writing it in this post. Then, nearly as immediate, i thought it was dumb. Finally, it was an easy decision: Keep it and see if it makes you laugh again on the day this post publishes (March 17, 2026, btw).

Do what you can

Facebook update screenshot — January 13, 2026. Two days ago. Cattle Baron Supper Club in Babb, Montana. Been a bunch of times. Devastating loss.

We can’t change what happened to the Cattle Baron Supper Club.

We can’t send enough money to lessen the pain from what happened to the Cattle Baron Supper Club.

But we can think of the family continuously, and pray for the family continuously, and give thanks continously that no humans were injured.

Even the smallest gestures trump an absent gesture.

Doubtful, home

social security application confirmation — This is such a remarkable milestone, here’s a second “completed” photo.

Doubtful there will ever be a desire to lower our standards.

What standards?

The ones we have for the community we live in.

Between the Orange County Code Enforcement guidelines and our Property Owners Association’s specific, uncomplicated, and modest requirements, the standards (when enforced) are all anyone needs to live peacefully. Respectfully.

Doubtful any community will ever see 100% respect and compliance.

Note: We have long been planning for a creative middle-ground. Life is good, even when it’s not excellent. Thank you Universe.
