Adversity doesn’t develop your character, it reveals it. Obviously, there are critics who’ll say my blog template is boring. I couldn’t agree more.

And while people fuss about that, I fuss about writing. Every day.

Soon, there will be 3,000 posts in “the bank”. You know how many people on the Internet can say that? Seth Godin and Perez Hilton can. I know of no others.

You most likely are experiencing, or have experienced, the same thing. What have you refused to give up on that has now become something amazing in your life?

Best Day Of Your Life?

Happy Friday everyone. For many of you, it’s the end of the week. Others, myself included, will be working through the weekend and into the next week. It is what it is and we are thankful to have a job, right?

As people go through their daily motions, we often hear or say, “How are you?”

For years I would respond, “Best day of my life!”

So this morning, in Seattle, I’m wondering why I stopped.

And it hit me, I didn’t.

What you say, and what you don’t say to yourself, really does make a difference in your attitude. You know it does.

It’s Way More Than Attitude

We Ignore The Obvious
We Ignore The Obvious

Did you formulate an answer to yesterday’s question?

The correct answer is…drum roll please…..

Everything takes longer than you think it will.

Plan for this. Expect it and consider it your biggest competitor. We must learn to defeat it, or we will fail.

You know I’m talking to the person in the mirror, right?

Tomorrow, I’ll share what happens when you go a little farther than you think you can.

Do You Have Any Idea?

Ever catch yourself in a brief but compelling daydream? The kind where you’re sort of analyzing your life and taking an inventory of where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re going?

How would you describe “your story” to someone you’ve just met?

What words would you use? What words do you wish you used? Wished you didn’t?

Does amazing show up? As the day (Oct. 17) approaches, and the 3,000th blog post milestone nears, I actually remove myself from the story and look at it in amazement.

What if it were one of you who was going to complete their 3,000 blog post in 18 months?

And, remember, you’re working a full time job, plus fulfilling all the usual duties of “responsible” adult.

Then the next question might be, “Why?”

To which you hear, “I’m having a Mid Life Celebration!”
