Sanibel sunrise. Year unknown. But definitely at Mitchell’s Sandcastles. The tiki hut is the iconic location identifier. Mitchell’s was destroyed by a major hurricane a few years ago.

The beauty of skywatching is its diversity and accessibility.

Any day.

Any time.

Any where.

But the tricky catch to sky watching is the same for all.

You have to pause to look.

It’s the pause.

The noticing.

The desire to pause and notice.

The enjoyment.

The reward.

The gratitude.

All of it.

Glances are meaningless, as a stereotype.

Landscaped well equipment — A couple decades ago, our neighbor, a lifetime carpenter, constructed a dog-house-looking mini-shed for our Well Water equipment. Stumbled on this picture.

Told our friend Brian that it’s been a busy start to the year, and we’re five months into it.

And i’ve been so busy that i haven’t adequately been able to lean in and enjoy this space where i am no longer working.

Several important projects, several important travel arrangements, have consumed my energy and head-space.

This is nothing i’d change and it’s nothing i regret.

Simply multiple big things one after the other for five continuous months.

Ready for some light at the end of the projects and travel tunnel.

Lifetime Disney Passes, home

spilled popcorn at Disney cleaned by janitor — This could be me, or you. Custodial Hosts and Hostesses are the Ambassadors of our Disney Theme Parks.

While earning my lifetime Disney Park Pass, i performed many roles. From Jungle Cruise Skipper, Lifeguard, Concierge Manager, Custodial Manager, to Disney Institute Keynote Speaker.

It was the ride of a lifetime.

The math is the math, home

Honeymoon bicycle trip — Organized the car to drive from Washington State University to Walt Disney World. Five full days across the United States, with no sight-seeing stops. 1984.

Everything is not as it appears.

Over-focus on the same things you used to under-focus on or ignore.

My goal now is to have 100% fidelity to the lifestyle i envision since retiring (a 2nd time) in December 2025.

Will continue to speak if these four things align:

It’s in Orlando
Date works
Fee is reasonable
Client is fun and easy to work with

That’s my story and i’m sticking to it.

Prioritized priorities to the rescue

Two loaded down 18-speed Trek touring bicycles from 1983 Honeymoon.

Married 1983.

Honeymooned for 2.5 weeks in the Puget Sound and Vancouver Island, via bicycle trekking, a year later in 1984.

Reasons.

Mostly time and money reasons.

The possibility to speak on Vancouver Island this October is alluring.

And yet, after doing the ‘math’, the possibility isn’t close to adding up.

Perhaps i write more about it tomorrow. We’ll see.
