Life is a gauntlet, an open challenge, like going into battle.
Pretending it isn’t, by medicating ourselves with drugs, distractions and denial, is a short term solution to a challenge that will never go away.

So, at least we have that going for us.

Lauren, the mother, has five children.
We are going to see her and her children today.
It’s a decent drive, but one we look forward to.
We will be adopting one of her boys, later this Summer.
