The root of stress is here

Disney Keynote Speakers
Publix check out, a timely visual reminder. Habits and rituals make us and break us.

Most of our stress in life has its root in not being organized enough.

The key to being organized is having a conviction on how your life is foundationally structured.

For me it’s mind, body, spirit, work, and home.

Structuring our life shouldn’t be complicated.

It should be simple.

Is this a surprise to anyone?

Yes, because society has been ill-prepared to focus on teaching youth balanced excellence in life’s five big choies – mind, body, spirit, work, and home.

How easy is it for you to take notes?

Bicycle light
Snapped this photo walking into Church this morning. Yes, this is the second time this week i’ve used same day photos in my posts.

At a stop light on the way home from Church an hour ago, i asked our Son for a napkin (in the glove compartment), and drew this note.

How easy is it for you to take notes?

As easy as taking your next breath?

Should it be?

Tomorrow’s post here will reveal the napkin idea.

Happy present moment.

PS. It’s rare that all five daily, differently-themed posts are not finished before i  leave the house (for anything…a run, the gym, Church, etc).

Daily decision fatigue goes undetected

Volunteer work
Yesterday, a single moment in time.

Volunteer work
Two boxes of food per needy family.

People just want me to shut up about being decently organized.

So i have.

Except when writing.

Ignoring facts doesn’t change the facts.

Daily decision fatigue goes undetected.

Every day, we’re confronted with dozens, if not 100’s of choices. that can impact our health.

Decision fatigue insidiously increases stress and drains motivation.

Too many decisions, too often, impacts our health.

Tired?

Drained?

Spent?

Unmotivated?

Falling behind?

Forgetting or neglecting important things?

Being unmotivated can feel like being lazy.

Thinking you are lazy is life derailer.

This may be why…

Decision fatigue taxes robs our energy by increasing stress and draining motivation.

Where are my car keys?

Disney Keynote Speakers
Where are the keys to the Kingdom?

Where are my car keys?

Told our Son the reason we place our car keys in exactly the same spot in the same drawer is this:

When you can’t find your keys, there’s only one place to check.

When you don’t have a (fanatical) system and you can’t find your keys, you have no idea where to check.

None.

Hope you’re not in a hurry.

Your mileage may vary

Odometer
Had to photograph the 2002 car’s mileage yesterday – for State Farm Drive Safe and Save app.

Heading out the door for surgery in a few minutes.

i’m the driver.

A 12-mile drive.

The patient will recover afterward from anesthesia and will need to be driven home.

i average 6,300 miles per year on this car.

Well below normal.

What is normal anyway?
