Nearly 4.5 hours after leaving the car, we are now heading back to the car. An extraordinary trek. Note: we hit the trail at 9:40 AM. At the top, i paused the hike. That’s why the Watch says 2:51.
This particular tree is iconic for those who have hiked Scenic Point multiple times.
We were not trying to descend quickly. Yet descending, even leisurely, is much quicker than ascending.
East Glacier Park, on the Black Feet Nation, has three restaurants. Peak, Serrano’s, and Stageline.
Clever way to guide Guests to Stageline.
On our return to the Lodge from Scenic Point, we parked in front of Stageline Pizza, ordered, and then enjoyed dinner from our room balcony.
Growing up in small town Pennsylvania, i was rich in independence but poor in money.
All these years later, our son is rich in money but perhaps poor in independence.
Just an unscientific thought. jeff doing what jeff does…

Note: After his 12th annual Glacier visit (his 6th with his HS buddies), they embarked on a train trip to Seattle before returning to the Sunshine State. His independence isn’t missing, it’s simply blooming later than mine. It’s incredible to witness.

Four miles downhill from Chalet, with 2,400′ elevation loss.
A traditional stop at Rising Sun Motor Inn lobby and camp store.
Focused, casually, on a Glacier jigsaw puzzle.
In our Lodge’s lobby store.

IDD.
Intention deficit disorder.
Being intentional is a superpower.

We took an hour break to sit on the rocky (and sandy) Mooloolaba Beach.

This is a generality and contains exceptions. Most people are not the exception. Some people are the antithesis of the generality.
Yin and yang.
Back to this…
The happiest day of your life is the day you buy a boat. The second happiest is the day you sell it.
Just playing around with the quote above…
The happiest day of your life is the day you say you’re gonna do something. The second happiest is the day you do it.
The happiest day of your life is the day you say you’re gonna do something. The saddest day is when you realize you’re never gonna do it.
