HQ Concert

39-second video: Signature song. They saved it for last.
8-second video: Who doesn’t know this song? No one, literally.
12-second video: Final, final-song. Music saved a life.

We left our home at 2:30pm and returned after midnight. We marveled at the day’s nine hours we invested in the 5-hour concert.

Didn’t realize until the very end (above video) that the drummer played with one arm only. The drummer lost his arm in 1980’s.

And, early into Def Leppard’s first couple songs, couldn’t help but marvel, and appreciate, the ‘backbone’ drum beat that filled the stadium. Never knowing until the very end how extra-ordinary the drummer is.

Apple Watch
Goodnight. Four hours+- of Rock ‘n Roll.
26-second video: Bonus vid. The final one i took last night. Just noticed that the drummer plays in bare feet.

This is so cryptic, only i understand how it’s meant to be listened to today.

The way i talk

Morgan gets made fun of for the way he talks.

Me too.

Morgan for his accent.

Me for my paradoxical ideas.

We just live the way we talk, ya’ll.

  1. Folk
  2. Country
  3. Christian
  4. R&B
  5. Motown
  6. Alternative

Started a list

Was just making a few notes and it morphed.

Started a list of Rock and Roll Bands that i grew up with in the 1970s and 1980s. It began on a post-it note when the idea sprouted.

It was never to be a comprehensive list.

But it grew.

The inspiration was from, “what kind of music would i play loudly in order to drown out a noisy neighbor?”

The rest as they say is history.

Ps. Never want to have to play music loudly in order to mute a neighbor’s loud music. But being a creative, this-may-not-work kinda guy, had to run with the idea. The time to fix the roof is when the sun is shining.
