Feeling confident that even though i can’t see or access my reservation, it’s legitimately in the lodging company’s system.

Margie and Johnny took the cross-country Amtrak train from Pennsylvania to visit us while we lived on campus at Washington State University. We, unregrettably, didn’t make it to Glacier.
i already know what to expect when i spend ample time in Glacier.
By the way, for context in ‘jeff-land’, one week is not ample time.
Neither is two.
Three weeks then?
Nope.
i can even extrapolate out to one month isn’t considered ample time.
So, going out in July and returning in October…..
Could be decent.
Note: Well aware the 2024 Hurricane forecast is the highest in the history of forecasting. There may be a compelling reason to return home to ride out a big one. This extraordinary hurricane forecast has remote potential to once again cut short the original plans to spend ‘ample’ 2024 time in Glacier. Time will tell. Happy present moment.

Main Street USA. Aka, our UHaul storage unit hallway. We love having a 5’x5’ piece of real estate.
First beer of the season. Photo and post by Kim Gill Hall. She also took and posted the next ‘Northern Lights’ photo…

Calypso orchid. Tiny. We only saw four on a one-mile trek up 800’ toward Sperry Chalet.
If you zoom in, while fuzzy, you get an idea how tiny the Calypso Orchid is. Ps. Look for the purple-ish color.
The calypso orchid towers at 3”.
13-second video: Even though we are the paying customers, we treat Kevin and Suzie like customers (aka cherished friends in Disney lingo).
Behave admirably.

We get to experience each Glacier trip three times. When we plan it, when we visit, and when we talk about it later.
Lean into discomfort, think differently, and have fun while you reap what you’ve sown.
High achievers know they get three experiences in every experience.
Who knew?
Your dad for starters.
Insight: Vibrancy took me four to five decades.
Dream: My dream is you cut 10 years off that.

Bob Bilby. A real-life Australian marsupial. And, Australia’s “Easter Bunny”.
Grizzly. Today’s animal photos were taken yesterday.
Leading others often feels like a Zoo. Same with leading self. Be intentionally over-focused to figure it out.

People, and animals, have a mind of their own.
Both can be tamed.
Neither is easily tamed.
Some should never be tamed.
And then there’s this…
Alan is the Lodge’s Front Office manager. We met years ago and have stayed friends and occasional hiking partners.
