Read my clouds

Sensing a need to modify plans and cut the Logan Pass visit distinctly short.
Sunny going up. Decent at reading the mountain clouds (the ones you can see anyway) and something told me to descend now, not later.

Read my clouds.

Kinda like read my lips.

What part of you better get off the mountain or the weather may trap you there and make your descent wet, freezing, and absolutely miserable.

Wet, cold, and wind chill from the weather and the bike’s descent.

Carry the lightest tools

Two work computers. One is a backup. Two tiny audio speakers.

Carry the lightest tools.

Every day.

At home.

While traveling for work.

And while hiking in Grizzly Bear Country.

HQ Glacier fever

mountain climbers
There is no trail to Reynolds’ summit. Photo: Stacy Wahlberg. Steve is leading the way up. i asked to lead us down. Two days later, socked in with wildfire smoke, i solo-summited. Not another soul on the mountain. Stunning accomplishment.

HQ Glacier fever.

In preparation for GNP, there are many belongings to shed. Will even more be shed (assuming) after my return?

Mountain headshot

You weren’t expecting a video.

You weren’t expecting a small plane at eye level.

Neither was eye i.

Faintly heard it and correctly guessed the horizon it would appear from. Nice mountain headshot, eh?

Note: Organized enough to forgo a fifth headshot today. Organized enough to have a juxtaposed mountain headshot. To be at eye level with the mountain tops is one thing. To capture an airplane also at eye level to add depth to the visual experience, crazy.
