Why me?

Nursing Home room info board
Yesterday, Nov 2.

End of life experiences are rare for me.

i learned more about end of life yesterday.

A question i heard over and over yesterday was, “Why me?”

i didn’t understand the question, nor it’s context.

My confusion inspired this train of thought:

•  •  •  •  •

Why me?

Why am I so organized?

Why am I so disorganized?

Why am I so unhappy?

Why am I so happy?

Why am I so optimistic?

Why am I so afraid?

Which questions were easy to answer?

Which made you stumble?

See a pattern or cause and effect?

Purge baby purge

Sound the alarm.

Right now, and for the past few days, i can’t recall being so motivated to get home and recommit to purging my possessions.

Great news for some and disheartening news for others

We all have a home that is in some state of organization or disorganization.

Our home has been a work in progress, built from our daily focus or neglect.

Our home’s karma won’t change overnight.

This is great news for some and disheartening news for others.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Why is it challenging to keep things simple?

Why is it challenging to keep things simple?

Guessing it’s because there are so many alluring choices.

For literally everything.

All the time.

So yeah.
