Today and tomorrow are incredibly busy

Middle School playground

(photo: Lunchtime yesterday was a small bag of trail mix, doing nothing – just observing the students play at lunch.)

The Christmas ‘photo-card’ arrived. Addressed to Cheryl. A nice photo of the couple who sent it.

On the beautiful photo is a printed holiday message including the specific words, Merry Christmas.

Nice touch.

Would it have been more appropriate (to who’s standard) to use, Happy Holidays?

However if your life revolves around the birth, life, and death of Jesus, Happy Holidays falls flat.

Without any effort, a revelation.

How many years have we sent really nice cards?

Beautiful cards.

Sent to everyone we could think of.

Yet because there were so many, it was all we could do to get them addressed, let alone write something personal.

For all those years this was us. So sorry.

Merry Christmas.

(sorry for not being more personal… there’s a lot to do today) (and even more to do tomorrow)

You’re really busy right?

You’re really busy right?

Even if we have free time, we tend to fill it with things we feel like we can no longer do without.

Always decently pressed for time. No?

One small backpack. No laptop. Three days. Two nights. Cab to and from Senior Living facility.

Blogging on plane with no wifi.

Be organized enough to be conscious enough to stretch out of our comfort zone.

Was hoping by now to have written some really insightful posts from the Glacier trip.

Time.

Priorities.

Organization.

No one builds a reputation on what they’re gonna do.

We simply don’t have the bandwidth… is that it?

Memorial day weekend was a few days ago (as this was penned). Facebook was absolutely flooded with an awareness of the efforts endured and the sacrifices made to be able to live peacefully in the land of the free.

September 11 is going to come and go quickly too.

Do we only tell our spouse/partner we love them on our anniversary?

Being decently organized creates a broadband single that allows us to have less interference with the things that matter.

Note: On the spot – in the moment – texted a bouquet (top photo) to a busy wife who does double duty while her husband travels.
