Pouring rain

What are the odds, on an 86-degree forecasted day, that the upstairs AC unit fails?

They say when it rains it pours. This means when challenging things happen, they often happen in what feels like a deluge.

Today, Orange County is on their third try to get the concrete forms right for a 10:00 AM final approval to pour concrete. Home Depot is delivering 400 bags of mulch between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM today, and our upstairs air conditioner is not working, as of 10:00 PM last night. Additionally, Cheryl is at the hospital for half a day starting at 8:00 AM. All four events are happening simultaneously. Separately these are manageable. Combined simultaneously, they overwhelm. We’ve worked hard to never have more than one issue at a time. Our batting average is great. Today it’s not so great. And so it goes.
