Son, humans crave honesty.
The paradox, similar to the extra mile vs the extra inch…or midlife crisis vs midlife celebration, is this:
Humans crave honesty but…
Humans aren’t honest.
Nor do humans want the truth.
Why?
The truth hurts.
No one wants to hurt another, nor do they want to be hurt.
The truth can set you free.
This is truth’s purpose – freedom.
Freedom scares the crap out of people.
Why?
Because every decision, every effort, every result – you’re on the hook for it.
Most people are too weak to be strong enough to break free.
i know this simply because i’ve lived it.
