Christmas is when you get stuff

A 1960s photo of two grandchildren and the grandpa
1968…after everything was cleaned up. There was a pile of Christmas presents stacked on and around the chair.
A 1960s photo of five cousins in front of a pile of Christmas presents
1968…before everything needed to be cleaned up. Gifts for five kids and six adults.

Careful what you wish for.

Sage wisdom

Old photos are fun.

Back in my day we didn’t have an endless stream of photos to look at.

Scarcity creates value.

Excess creates commodities.

Commodity unanimously creates disinterest, or, at best, utilitarian function (which is insanely boring).

Utilitarian is useful, but boring. Take laundry detergent for example.
