Payment terms

The world-famous Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. An attraction at Walt Disney World and a metaphor for a life built on procrastination.

The payment terms are as follows:

The payment will always be required.

You can pay now or you can pay later.

The longer you wait to pay, the more it will cost.

Waiting to pay will grind on you with consistent anxiety, which increases like compound interest- the magic of doubling. Or, in this case, the tragic of doubling.

Paying now, daily, grants you freedom from neglect, excuses, and a probable irreconcilable situation.

Talk is so cheap, it’s free

Nothing changes if nothing changes.
Jeff Noel diagram about action catalysts
Some compelling catalyst has to happen from talk or nothing changes.

Talk is so cheap, it’s free.

Remember kids, you get what you pay for.

Night notes to self

Mid Life Celebration book
New York City subway wall.

Middle of night awoke with this self-conversation…

2 questions…

1. Does this sound unreasonable?

2. What are you prepared to do to achieve it?

Unpacked…(remember, it was 2am)…

1. Wouldn’t it be great to live with mental vibrancy, physical vibrancy, spiritual vibrancy, work vibrancy, and home life vibrancy?

2. Now, what’s your answer?

Assuming your answer is yes, what are you prepared to do to achieve it?

Because, you do believe you deserve it, and, that it would be wonderful to live that way. Then the only question really, is what are you willing to do next? And for how long?

You are in charge of it all

Disney Customer Service Keynote Speaker Jeff Noel
If i never again wear a tie during a Disney Keynote speech, it will be too soon.

Bring you to your knees wakeup calls.

Such a gift.

Have had two personal wakeup calls.

One in 1996 and another in 1999.

Then in 2008, by far the biggest career wakeup call.

All three major wakeup calls were lessons from our Universe to become more balanced, more prepared, and more peaceful.

So now, here we are two years into Covid.

A world wakeup call.

Another report card.

How you did in this pandemic, mentally, physically, spiritually, at work/financially and at home, is your report card – and an indication of how vibrant you will be for your remaining decades.

Tuesday feels like Friday

Zoom call “after-meeting”. Kinda like “after-party”.
This all happened unplanned, spontaneously, in the matter of two minutes.
Rob’s text conclusion is the harvest from making a million mistakes and a reverent desire to keep moving forward.

Afternoon writing, just two days old, is clunky.

Not hard, just discombobulated.

The key difference it seems is that there is not a crystal clear, clean slate. The proverbial blank canvas feels used, not new.

Additionally, there is not a predictable start time. Same with no clear end time.

Definitely a work in progress. Grateful for the idea. Grateful for the motivation to pursue the idea.
