Life’s starting line

16-second video: We have progressed far from the original starting line – a small one-bedroom, roach-infested apartment in an unsafe part of town.

You are rich when what you have is more than you need; more than you could have ever dreamt.

Less than a mile from Walt Disney World

24-second video: Today is a great Day to reflect on how far we’ve come. What we are willing to walk away from is pro-level. Wisdom comes from experience and experience comes from making mistakes.

We rented what we could afford, a one bedroom, furnished, roach-infested, Kissimmee apartment. We filled the bedroom with 48 shipping boxes – everything we owned. Boxes piled high enough to block the lone window’s outside view. Once a month the police where raiding a neighboring apartment on a drug raid.

Note: Never made it to the walk-in clinic. By the time, 12 miles into the trek, i walked past it, felt good enough to wait another day.

10-second bonus video: Gwarsh, what’s this lever do?

Walt Disney’s affinity for timelessness and timeliness is a perfect example of embracing the Universe’s opposites.

Walt used nostalgia’s emotional strength to pitch timely change. He had one foot in the past and one foot in the future. People hate change. Walt used opposites to build an audience willing to change.

Be amazed and be amazing. Be amazed at all your blessings and opportunities. Be amazing at embracing and enjoying all your blessings and opportunities.
