Highest recommendation for this Naval podcast episode

Naval podcast
Loved this, even though at two hours long, it took several tries to complete.
Naval podcast
Just some context.

Naval Ravikant has a two-hour guest podcast appearance at Farnam Street here.

This is not a one-sitting listen. It can be, but it certainly wasn’t for me. It validated many things and it stimulated thoughts that few others can.

It has my highest recommendation for anyone seeking meaning and deeper perspective.

The most organized people are the ones who are irrationally passionate about being organized.

Disorganized people (i was one) claim being organized is too difficult. Having been disorganized and organized, i have found that the effort is similar but the hope and freedom are polar opposites.

To be disorganized, for them, would be trauma to their home.

Home not-to-do list

Glacier National Park coloring page
Last Summer at Two Dog Flats…five adults colored while we waited for lunch.

Home not-to-do list:

  • Do not use your memory to make to-do lists (write it down).
  • Do not allow a busy schedule to be an excuse for not being organized.

Speech’s key message points

Grinnell Lake
On the shore of Grinnell Lake looking West at the Garden Wall and the continental divide.

Speech’s key message points:

Excellence can and should be expected all the time, every time.

Great leaders can and should be deeply embedded at every level of your organization.

Over-focus on details others under-focus on or ignore.

Have a clear, concise, compelling vision of the future.

Migrate everyone from compliant to committed.

Shift from assumptions to clarity.

Make every day feel like “Day 1” long after the honeymoon is over.

What you do speaks so loudly, i can’t hear what you say.

Be organized to start the day tonight.

The photo above is from sunset. Time to start planning for tomorrow morning. Shouldn’t take long once you have great habits and rituals.
