Welcome to Glacier

Yesterday’s rainy-day view from a potential conference balcony.

Rob, welcome (back) to Glacier.

Has a nice ring to it.

Rob, my tech-partner, is arriving this morning.

Earlier this year Rob home-tutored me twice a month (8 hours/month) and facilitated some critical technology enhancements for my business.

i casually mentioned i’d be in Glacier most of the summer and would he be interested/available to visit.

Crazy dreams often turn into cool realities.

Faith, Hope, and Pixie Dust

At nearly 8,000’ on this solo hike, i had cell service. Talk about an office with a view.

Faith, Hope, and Pixie Dust.

What does it take to be able to call your every location your HQ?

Your mileage may vary, but for me it’s been 60 years of Faith, Hope, and Pixie Dust.

Euphorically understated

There seems to be no way you’d want to go around the left edge. That’s exactly what we did. Not bad at all. By myself i would have been terrified.
Steve leading the way and stopped so i could snap a few pics. Dragons Tale, center.
Steve (left horizon) at the summit, Stacy on her way, and me hunkered down taking this photo.

Euphorically understated, that’s how i describe the ascent from 8,616′ to 9,156′.

Surreal.

Confident.

Absolutely focused.

One misstep, one miscalculation with the wind – disaster.

All i focused on was the next step.

The heights, the narrow paths, the sheer drop offs, none of that was in my “view”.

It was the only way to stay calm.

It worked.

Thank you Steve and Stacy.

Logan Pass temporary office desk

jeff noel writing in Glacier National Park
Today’s posts were not written at 5:00 AM, rather 5:00 PM. From here.

Writing today’s posts from 6,646’ at Logan Pass. It’s 5:00PM and the full parking lot is emptying fast.

On the East end i’m sitting behind the rock wall facing this…

St. Mary valley begins in the center and runs about 12 miles East (left).
Sunset is at 7:50 PM…hopefully i’ll be sitting in my Tiny Home “Glacier HQ” desk.

Can’t wait to tell you about today, and i’ll give you a hint…

Mt. Reynolds.

One more hint about tomorrow’s posts since i’m writing so late today.

Today was an epic milestone.

Taking calculated chances helps

The bears are on a feeding craze and the trails are far less populated. A recipe for anxiety. Photo: Hotel store.
Last night close to 10PM.

Returning to Swiftcurrent i took a chance that the Wi-Fi might be back up.

It was.

So grateful.
