The organizational trifecta isn’t worth it

Allegiant flight receipt
Booked the Summer Glacier trip and the Summer fraternity reunion trip yesterday.

Lots going on in people’s lives.

Most of us are overwhelmed with all the demands and unexpected things that pop up when we least expect.

Has there ever been a more compelling reason to do whatever it takes to get really organized – with our stuff, our priorities, and our time?

Amplify your home

Magic Kingdom Main Entrance
Yesterday, soaked in sweat, at the midway point.

Be the most organized person you know. Not obsessively organized, just really good and decently organized.

Organized with stuff, but also organized with your time – for your priorities, like exercise.

Amplify your home.

Turn it up.

We win every time we do this.

Three small decisions create huge breathing room

Delta airfare purchase screen shot
Yesterday we decided on only one ticket versus three.

This Summer has many time conflicts and challenges. We discussed this and came to the same conclusion. We need to reprioritize things.

The August France trip: i’ll be going solo.

The July North Carolina trip: We’ll have to decline.

The July Disneyland trip: No go.

The long way is the short cut

West Orange High School Student Guidance office
Yesterday at 8:00am.

We parked at 6:50am for an 8:00am first-come-first-served process for ninth-grade registration. This process is for any student who wasn’t already in the Orange County School system as an 8th grader.

We were first, checked in, got a nice seat together and then painfully watched as the next several families were turned away because they hadn’t properly organized the needed materials.

It was quite an effort to pull it all together. It becomes even more work when short cuts are intentional or unintentional.
