What’s not obvious?

Pixar character figurine in mountains
Dragon’s Tail was a first. The views, the elevation, the spirituality was “Joy”-ful.
Mountains
Mt Oberlin, 8,200’, my first summit.
Mountains
From Dragon’s Tail, the Garden Wall (Continental Divide) is framed between Mt Reynolds (right) and Clements Mountain (left).

Obvious can be invisible to busy people.

Warm ups are good

Plant shadow on a rock
The noticer notices. Tiny shadows at your feet rarely get noticed.
Bear scat (poop) on trail
A reminder we are never far from Grizzlies.
Flower shadows on rock
Still noticing. It has become a habit and i no longer have to remind myself to do it.
Mountain trail
These shadows are on the rock’s side not the top. Interesting.
Jeff noel and Jody maberry
And so concludes Granite trip one of four this Summer (time-stamped with face mask).

A cool discovery played out. We recorded a warmup podcast episode before recording If Disney Ran Your Life. A valuable risk-taking opportunity.

Love how the crazy idea (that might not work) worked out.

Thank you Jody Maberry for hiking (and recording) in Glacier National Park.
