i love being decently organized.
i have vague recollections of when i wasn’t.
The choice to be, or not to be, is a literal no-brainer.
And yet there are people i love who have not drawn a line in the sand.

Two days ago – the night before the trip – it hit me that i was unprepared with classroom materials.
It’s been so long since this has happened.
Oddly, i enjoyed remembering how uncomfortable being unprepared is.
Also relished the unique opportunity to realize what an extraordinary payoff you get from being ready in advance.
While i wasn’t in a panic, i did have to overreact to compensate.
In the big picture, it was a minor inconvenience.
But here’s the key learning, what if i was habitually unprepared in advance and one thing snowballed into another?
So yeah.
i’ve come a long way from my old ways.
