Making the most of things requires decent organization

Cold front in Glacier
Yesterday driving up to Logan Pass from Rising Sun.

Making the most of things requires decent organization.

i can tell you this from 59 years of living.

i’ve lived both ways, disorganized and organized, and there’s a huge difference.

Live in personal harmony every moment of every new day

Glacier cold August weather
Yesterday was Sunday, August 26.

Live in personal harmony every moment of every day.

Balance what you acquire, keep, reuse, reduce, recycle, trash, donate, collect, store, insure, shun, enjoy, dread, and so on.

Your time becomes more useful because you spend less of it reacting or recovering from being disorganized.

How do you scale personal organization for an entire lifetime?

Father and son in Glacier
Four Summers ago one of them was 14 years old.

How do you scale personal organization for an entire lifetime?

Find a million ways to stay motivated.

Live as if every day is a new day (because it is).

Live in deep gratitude every moment of every new day.

Organize your time, focused on life’s five big choices: mind, body, spirit, money, hq.

Improve one of the five, the other four benefit.

Neglect one of the five, the other four suffer.

Live as if every day could be your last (because it could).

Glacier National Park trip four, home organization

Rising Sun Cabin
Rising Sun Motor Inn Cabin. Sink in living area, bathroom behind door.

Glacier National Park trip four, home organization.

One small backpack for nine days.

A second small backpack to hold the solar chargers and other essentials for life without electricity. This pack isn’t carrying much. And bringing it eliminates overstuffing the main (small) backpack.

Five days, four nights.

No electricity.

Can you imagine?

Will be fetching the drinking and cooking water – 1/4 mile away from our Chalet kitchen.

Noel Hotel

sleepover
Last night’s Noel hotel.

Chapin, you’ve earned every blessing bestowed on you. You continue to inspire us with your maturity, creativity, and compassion.

Make the most of your High School senior year.

Your friends who spent last night here are special in a way that’s challenging to understand in the present – only years from now, possibly decades, will their real specialness make sense.

You, however, have a gift for understanding this.

You watched mom and me demonstrate this phenomenon.

Like the early-blooming athletes or intellectuals at school, you are an early bloomer with seeing into the future.
