Smile hard? Smile fun.

Listening is a superpower to make people feel special. Asking questions is gasoline on a listening-fire.

The Loop Trail is four miles downhill. It was a two-hour and 15-minute leisurely descent.
Mountain trail
Continental Divide never gets old. It’s Glacier’s backbone.

Coming down for one night. A hot shower and wifi never gets old.

We’ve been here many times. Nice to be back.
a couple hiking in the mountains
The “Ritz Carlton” sits at 6,600′. We hiked four miles uphill to get here. Now, we are hiking another five miles roundtrip up to the fire tower. This is insane on Cheryl’s first day, coming from sea-level.
Video starts with a glimpse of a 1914 Hotel.
Pixar characters mark the year. The Chalet at the end marks our location.

One of only a few remaining Glaciers left in the Park.

On her first day coming from sea-level, Cheryl walked uphill 6.5 miles with 4,000′ elevation gain. Then she walked downhill 2.5 miles and 1,600′ elevation loss.

Few people, at any age, can handle this at altitude.

Ps. Downhill for some people is harder than uphill. Trust me, i’ve surveyed many hikers.

Car tire and key fob
Switched car rental companies yesterday. Both offered four week rental. The tires on first rental are unsafe by my standards. September brings snow. Many roads are 70 mph or curvy mountain roads.

The goodness from being focused and disciplined at home (with your prioritized priorities) will overwhelm you if you trust it.
