13-second video: Returning to the Mountain Pass.
Big horn sheep
Right on cue. Thirteen Big Horn Sheep made their evening appearance, just like i foretold.

Our evening could not have ended on a better note.

The up-side to an evening hike from the Pass is the high probability for wildlife sightings.

We hit the bullseye.

Yay for being creatively organized.

10-second video: In 49 years, have never heard a bear sound. Today the streak is broken. Yay!!!!

First time for everything.

Like hearing a bear cub cry for it’s mother.

Like doing something you previously thought was impossible for you.

9-second video:
The end of a great day. Far away from where we began 14 hours earlier.

So far the pace has been perfect.

Our biggest concern?

Having too much unplanned fun that we get behind in our schedule.

Pro tip: Insist on an ’extravagant’ amount of calendar white space (margin) every day.

Relief is on the way.

Burning the midnight oil is a right of passage.

It sometimes becomes a lifetime habit.

Be careful.

Tour bus cover page
Tomorrow morning we walk 300 meters down the hill to the pick-up location for our Red Bus Tour.

Over time, a first full day tradition has developed when first-timers visit Glacier with me/us.

The Crown of the Continent, world-famous Red Bus Tour.

Tomorrow’s photos & videos will capture why.
