Son, expect the unexpected.

Whatever beauty our hikes have provided over the many Glacier National Park visits, expect to see remarkable beauty in ways you could not imagine.

Same place, different textures.

Granite Park’s sister Chalet, Sperry, burned down August 2017.

The video above reveals the rebuilding progress from Summer 2018 that should allow the main structure to manage the Winter weather.

Back to 2017…

Holding a one-night reservation for Labor Day weekend.

It would be my first high-mountain Chalet experience.

Different from Granite Park is Sperry’s full-service food and beverage operation. 

High mountain luxury.

And as the reality of not having a place to stay on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, with just days notice, i threw a Hail Pass to the Granite Park Chalet office.

One cancellation (from the fire activity).

One relieved Central Floridian.
