Another 10-miler. Never gets old. This time we stayed (really long) for lunch.
unique clouds
We make many stops when it’s easy to park. Parking is easy today.

This place is also the name of a favorite GNP restaurant at Rising Sun Motor Inn and Cabins, just a few miles west.
mountains
Arguably, one of our Earth’s coolest drives.

Silly. We sent this to our Son. Ps. We have an ATT signal here.

The rock work is remarkable. Unnoticed by most, but definitely noticed by folks like us (whatever that means).
Grizzly Bear painting
Stunning.
25-second video: Dinner time.

In a (perfect) dream world, i’d (we’d) walk 10 miles every day.

Day 14 CCL, home

mountains
One of our favorite spots along Going-to-the-Sun Road.
mountains
My favorite peak.
hurricane forecast map
Like every September in Glacier, we keep an eye on the tropics (and home).

Going-to-the-Sun Road (GTTSR) is 50 miles long.

GTTSR’s speed limit ranges from 25-45 mph.

It’s reasonable to expect to drive behind someone who is drinking in the breathtaking scenery. And it’s additionally reasonable to expect they will drive decently below the speed limit.

Driving ‘Sun Road’, as many locals (and now, myself) call it is a great place to never be in a hurry.

Like i always say, “i’m always busy, but i’m never in a hurry.”

Drew Landry and Halladay Quist.

Keegan, Glacier Park Lodge GM, invited us a couple weeks ago. He said it was a closing night benefit event for the Blackfeet.

As we got closer to the date, i knew we wouldn’t be up for a dark-mountain drive afterwards. Nor did i want to pay for two room reservations and only stay in one room. We have already done that the six nights we stayed in Granite and Sperry. Reached out to Keegan with a proposal, but he beat me to the punch — he comped a room for us for their last night of the season.

Humbled. Grateful. Honored.

Glacier has been nicknamed “Last Best Place”.

“So what?” is my last best question from facilitating multi-day Business Excellence Programs at Disney Institute.

i remember the moment when it happened like it was yesterday. It was easily 20 years ago.

Many agree that prioritized priorities, for example, are better than priorities without a priority order.

To which i challenge them with. “So what?”

You know the remarkable difference. Good for you. So what? So what are you going to do to achieve and live by prioritized priorities?

4.5 hours to cover nearly 10 miles. Because of the windchill and lack of warming sun, we stayed at the Pass for only 10 minutes.

We will be back another day to return to Piegan Pass. The fact we couldn’t find a weather-protected lunch spot didn’t dampen our spirit.
21-second video: On our descent. What’s it like hiking in Glacier?

At home with our priorities, what heights are possible?
