Post Op Day 21, home

We judge ourselves on our intentions. Others judge us on our behaviors.

A client sent the video. Didn’t mention that yesterday. This video reminded them of me.

Today, reflecting, it stimulates thinking about the message from an organizational vibrancy angle instead of the obvious personal vibrancy.

Think about that for a moment.

Imagine intentional things an organization could (and should) do, but doesn’t. Much like the lone human being depicted in two scenarios: intentional and unintentional.

People, and entire organizations, reap what they sow.

The damning habit they both have is thinking today won’t make a remarkable difference to their futures.

Or conversely, the remarkable habit that every company has available: over-focusing on the same things other companies under-focus on or ignore.

Reaping what you sow seems irrefutable. There are rare exceptions. Plan on not being one.

5:36 PM

Writing this fifth and final blog for today, October 5, 2023.

Tomorrow our Son starts his day at Celebration Health Hospital’s infusion center.

Mine starts at Central Florida Retina Specialists.

The next day we dine at our family-favorite Disney restaurant. And we are joined by our Son’s three best friends in the world.

Happy present moment.

Be an example not a warning.

How long have i been saying that?

This is just a test

We were both on the phone today when it happened. The other person’s phone echoed the alarm. Kinda cool. Thank you USA security team.

Tests were invented to keep people alive. Make sure you pass.

Created a family calendar event this morning to remind us that at 2:20 PM today the Nation’s phones were gonna blow up.

In my lifetime this is the first ever National test.

Literally hundreds of local, real time, real situations, emergency tests. Amber alerts. Tornado alerts. Local tests. Etc.

Last song…

What would you ask Jesus if you could have a sit down with him?

Thomas Rhett

Can’t believe the first time hearing this song was yesterday.

Dude, happy 52nd birthday

Walt Disney World's Eyes and Ears
Can’t fathom being there on the first anniversary. Wait, yes i can.

Who am i being that others do not see incredible possibility?

dad

Fifty-two years of Walt Disney World Magic.

October 1, 1971.

Yesterday was the anniversary.

Intentionally waited.

Why?

Because few remember.

Fewer still, care.

And there’s FOMO.

If you don’t act smart on the specific day odds are you’ll miss your opportunity to look smart – a fan-boy as they say.

Seeing the Magic Kingdom fireworks nightly (year after year) is my thought.

You can’t live less than a mile from WDW and have 66 combined years of service under your roof and not know what yesterday is.
