Logan Pass temporary office desk

jeff noel writing in Glacier National Park
Today’s posts were not written at 5:00 AM, rather 5:00 PM. From here.

Writing today’s posts from 6,646’ at Logan Pass. It’s 5:00PM and the full parking lot is emptying fast.

On the East end i’m sitting behind the rock wall facing this…

St. Mary valley begins in the center and runs about 12 miles East (left).
Sunset is at 7:50 PM…hopefully i’ll be sitting in my Tiny Home “Glacier HQ” desk.

Can’t wait to tell you about today, and i’ll give you a hint…

Mt. Reynolds.

One more hint about tomorrow’s posts since i’m writing so late today.

Today was an epic milestone.

Taking calculated chances helps

Looks just like the Grizzly i saw from 12’ away. Photo: Hotel store.
The bears are on a feeding craze and the trails are far less populated. A recipe for anxiety. Photo: Hotel store.
Last night close to 10PM.

Returning to Swiftcurrent i took a chance that the Wi-Fi might be back up.

It was.

So grateful.

Get over it

This angle shows Bullhead Point (foreground) and Mt. Wilbur (center background). We hiked between the two. Iceberg Lake’s bowl is on right horizon.
Busy dinner time last night.
Me, “Poles”, and “Crafty”. Five months on the Continental Divide trail. Everyone has a “trail” name.

Working in Nell’s Dining Hall last night.

Can I ask you a question?

Sure.

You look like you did something epic today.

Crafty, Poles, and UV are two days away from completing the Continental Divide hike south to north.

They began five months ago in Mexico and finish at Goat Haunt at the USA-Canada border.

Like the 30-year Grizzly Bear biologist that told me to trust my gut, i trusted that these guys had done something epic.

Trust your gut and be inquisitive.

Too shy?

Get over it.

PS. Happy present moment.

Good but not great

My office fits in my pocket and is amplified by Internet connectivity.

Wifi at Swiftcurrent Motor Inn is good in the restaurant, but not great.

In the lobby it’s barely even good.

In the Motor Inn rooms it doesn’t exist.

Put in 10 hours at Nell’s

Yesterday i put in 10 hours at Nell’s, working on my business.

Who cares?

No one.

i love that i can do work that matters from anywhere, and at anytime.

The iPhone 11 Pro is going to continue to make my (work) life more joyful.

Being productive and helping to improve my little corner of the world feels good.

i am highly motivated.

Because i understand that motivation is the key to everything.
