GNP Day 10, HQ

13 hikers posing for a group picture in the mountains
13 of Rising Sun Motor Inn’s 2022 staff heading to Haystack Butte to watch the sun set.
27-second video: Starting a hike at 8:30pm means the hike back is in the dark.

Reveling in the first 2022 Oberlin summit while also reveling in 2022’s first Big Horn Sheep sighting, a unique and surprising moment happened.

Turning around from the Sheep, there’s a group next to me asking if i’d like to join them for a sunset hike.

It’s weirdly wonderful being recognized when you’re away from home. It’s even cooler when the locals invite you into their circle.

5-second video: Spectacular.

Breathtakingly spectacular.

The sheer steepness is awe-inspiring.

The Universe has equipped these creatures with a rare ability.

GNP Day 8, HQ

17-second video: Vlogging?
Person sitting with legs in a creek
Icing feet and achilles in Rose Creek next to Rising Sun campground.
Freeze dried dinner packet on car dashboard
St Mary Lodge parking lot. Dinner. Trying to upload photos and videos to iCloud. It worked poorly.

It’s fun to experiment.

Experiments, succeed or fail, always teach.

And it’s especially fun when the experiment exceeds your expectation for learning.

GNP Day 7, HQ

9-second video: i tell you where to look, but don’t tell you what to see.

Change what you see and what you see changes.

i remember a time when i swore the only way to effectively work from anywhere, especially Glacier, is with a small MacBook.

Couple years ago i changed what i saw – travel with only an iPhone. Yet continue to excel at ‘work from anywhere’.

Traveling without a MacBook is liberating. Writing using iPhone notes App (without wifi or cell signal), freedom.

Pro-tip: always have a backup. Carry two iPhones.

Note: At home, full-time mantra = always have a backup for your backup.

GNP Day 6, HQ

4-second video: A special moment rarely seen.
Man walking in the mountains by a waterfall
Scott, a GNP Shuttle driver, snapped this pic. Pretty sure he thought he’d get one of me falling off the log and going for a swim.

Keep moving forward.

On it.

Happy present moment.
