Slower than a Ptarmigan is a phrase we heard two nights ago at the Granite Park Chalet speaker series, led by a 30-year National Park Service employee, Ashley.
Ptarmigans move remarkably slow to avoid predator detection.
Young adults, to a first-time parent, can seem to take forever to become self-motivated and confident.
It’s an exaggeration, but the pace often feels slower than a Ptarmigan.
And there are growth spurts.
Yay for growth spurts.
