Here’s how Glacier 2026 played out, home

Not gonna lie, it was kinda emotional to leave Hunter (shaking) and Goldie. May never see them again. Iconic fixtures at Glacier Park Lodge’s front door and adjacent lawn.

Here’s how Glacier 2026 played out home-wise…

Two stress-relieving scenarios:

  1. Kept an eye on the weather-app-tropics. Nothing came close to materializing.
  2. Our Son is at home and can handle whatever comes. Nothing did.

Had an unusually strong desire for “can’t wait to get home”.

Usually, the desire to come home is mild. Kinda like, “Glacier has been amazing (again, per usual), it’s probably time to head home”.

Note: This 2026 summer’s 31-day visit is the shortest visit in years. We normally stay two, or even three months.
